The Food Pantry, which made its home in the parish house in January 2010, is available to all residents of Bridgewater. Reverend Peter Hammond and his wife, Kimberly Gellatly, direct operations for the Food Pantry on a volunteer basis. "No proof of need is required. We're open weekday mornings and often into the afternoon," explains Ms. Gellatly. "If a resident is unable to come in the mornings, we will also be happy to open up at a time more convenient for them. We believe there are more people in town that might need a little help and we welcome them. Confidentiality is guaranteed. If someone isn't able to drive to the church office, we will deliver. Donors and shoppers alike can call us at the church office with questions or to make arrangements to visit." Ms. Gellatly and Reverend Hammond were recently honored by the Bridgewater Grange #153 for their dedication to the Bridgewater Food Pantry.
Donations to the Food Pantry are welcomed at the Parish House, at Bridgewater Town Hall, and at the Burnham Library.
